Shekila Ghafoor

Shekila obtained a double degree in Law and Business and Commerce at the University of Western Sydney and was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2012. She has been working in the legal industry for over 10 years and is a highly experienced and senior member of the team at State law Group.

Shekila provides expert advice and representation in a broad range of personal injury matters specialising in complex CTP claims in NSW, QLD and the ACT. She is also passionate about helping clients who have injured themselves at work as well as helping clients who have had slip and fall accidents.

Strong negotiation skills allow Shekila to resolve many claims informally. She is passionate about making a difference and achieving the best outcome for her clients.

Shekila is fluent in speaking Dari and can understand Farsi, Pashto and Hindi. She is an expert in analysing matters and she aims to simplify the complex legal system for her clients.

Shekila was recognised for her outstanding academic achievement over the 2009 calendar year of study by being listed on the College of Business 2010 Dean's Merit List. These students had a grade point average (GPA) of 6.0 or greater, and were in the top 10% of the college cohort. She also used to be a member of the University of Western Sydney Golden Key International Honour Society which sought to establish a network among academically talented students.
